Description
The activity features ten challenging cases with clinical histories, as well as a corresponding whole slide image. After you select a diagnosis, you will be presented with a case critique that includes the diagnosis, pertinent histological findings, a discussion of the differential diagnosis, and other significant clinical and/or biological information. After you review the case critique, you will be presented with three educational questions that pertain to the case and contain additional diagnostic information.

Objectives
After completing this activity, you should be able to:

  1. Recognize clinical and pathologic characteristics that facilitate accurate diagnosis of surgical pathology lesions, distinguishing them from mimics.
  2. Discuss relevant ancillary information (clinical findings, epidemiology, prognosis, etc.) pertaining to surgical pathology lesions.
  3. Identify ancillary tests, including but not limited to special stains, immunohistochemistry, and molecular testing, that help confirm diagnosis and predict prognosis or influence therapeutic interventions for surgical pathology lesions.
  4. Use the program as a benchmark for diagnostic performance and as a source of information for quality improvement.
