Description
This activity features ten challenging cases with clinical histories, as well as a corresponding whole slide image. After you select a diagnosis, you will be presented with a case critique that includes the diagnosis, pertinent histological findings, a discussion of the differential diagnosis and other significant clinical and/or biological information. After you review the case critique, you will be presented with three educational questions that pertain to the case and contain additional diagnostic information.

Objectives
As a result of participating in this assessment activity, you should be able to:

  1. Identify lesions from a variety of sites and specimen types.
  2. Recognize unusual diseases as well as uncommon presentations of common diseases.
  3. Assess diagnostic skills in surgical pathology.
  4. Use the program as a benchmark for diagnostic performance and as a source of information for quality improvement.

Accreditation: The College of American Pathologists (CAP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CME Category 1: The College of American Pathologists designates this internet enduring material educational activity for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity meets the American Board of Pathology’s (ABPath) Continuing Certification (CC) requirements for Improvement in Medical Practice (IMP).
