Description
This online Neuropathology Program (NP) uses digital imaging technology and features a minisymposium followed by eight educational neuropathology cases. You will be presented with the clinical history, the tissue site, and applicable static and whole slide images. You will answer three educational questions, and then learn more about the diagnosis.

After you complete the cases, you will be presented with a 20-question post-test and printable PDFs containing the information and images from each case.

Objectives
After completing in this SAM eligible activity and post-test, you should be able to:

  1. Recognize clinical and neuroimaging characteristics that facilitate clinicopathologic correlation of neoplastic and nonneoplastic lesions of the nervous system, including muscle and nerve.
  2. Discuss gross, cytologic, and histologic features that help define a preliminary differential diagnosis.
  3. Identify ancillary tests including but not limited to, special stains, immunohistochemistry, and molecular testing, that help to confirm diagnosis and predict prognosis or influence therapeutic interventions.

This activity meets the American Board of Pathology’s (ABP) Continuing Certification (CC) requirements for Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs).

Passing Requirements
You have a total of three opportunities to take and pass the post-test. If you correctly answer 70% or more of the post-test items, you may claim credit. CME/SAM credit can be applied to the American Board of Pathology (ABP) Self-Assessment Module (SAM) requirements. You must pass the post-test to claim credit; therefore, if you do not pass, you cannot claim any credit.
